The red spitfire is my favorite model. The model is built out of coro plastic. The entire model is made out of 3mm coro sheet. It is actually built very light for electric power system but later on I decided to use an OS 0.46LA engine. The model weight along with the 0.46 LA engine was about 1800grams. Remember, this is a SPAD plane and the weight of 1800grams is just great!! The power-to-weight ration was excellent in order of 1.5 / 1.0! The wing is in elliptical shape just like a spitfire warbird. When it is up on air it looks like a red spitfire airplane. The plane has a very sleek profile and flying it is a blast. Its one of the speed kings in our field. Almost all of the spectators (and the flyers) in our field have their eyes on this model when it is flying. The aerobatic performance is just amazing. I have also done combat flying with this model and it beats every other prop driven models. No one can match the speed of this model (except for the jet guys.. ;-) ) Here are some pictures of the model
